DCCP: Diploma in Child Care and Protection

Introduction

The Diploma in Child Care and Protection is a three-year program designed to equip learners with advanced competencies in case management, psychosocial support, and child welfare program implementation, including mandatory industrial attachment. The program includes complimentary computer classes to ensure students are tech-savvy.

Objectives

  • Develop skills in case management and psychosocial support for vulnerable children.
  • Provide in-depth understanding of child protection laws and policies.
  • Enable design and implementation of community-based child welfare programs.
  • Support children with special needs.
  • Foster skills in research, advocacy, and documentation in child rights.
